No update today, I’ve been in kinda a cloud all last week, mostly drowsy and in general not feeling it.

I have been working on the cover and a very awkward retooling of page 9. I hope to have something up mid week, or at the very least, have the cover and page 9 up next monday.

I’m also working on a new blog at brooklynbombshell.com. I will report more when I’ve got it up.

My birthday is on the 24th and I hope to have some stuff to be bragging about (at least to myself :D) when that day arrives.

As for now: gym membership, taxes, diary comic, wordpress install rejigger. Oh, and awesome comicspace.com.

More soon! Thanks for hanging in there with me!

Apparently, Cerra’s been keeping secrets from more than just strangers she meets in alleys.
Rocks are strange, always changing color on us. Silly rocks.
See you next Monday!

Um, don’t have much to say, in Glasgow, lettering on reserve battery power so Spades isn’t late in a youth hostel where I’m about to go back to bed and take a small nap before heading out to the Mackintosh House museum on this beautiful overcast foggy day in Scotland <3

enjoy page 7! See you next Monday!

Or something.

Page 7 is prepped for next monday, which is good for all of you readers, because I’ll be aways away.
In one of my ancestral home lands: Scotland!

I will return with diary comics, photos, less stress, and hopefully, a back log of ready to post Spades :D
Hooray! *delusional* :D

It’s going to be amazing either way, I’m trying to keep it low key, because I’m going on a whim to basically be somewhere else. It’s an actual vacation! Unlike what the holidays and New Year’s were!

So see you right here on Monday for more Spades :)
Thanks for reading!
Leave any comments about what you’d like to see on this site too!
I’ll be launching a new comic soon, completely different from Spades.
More on that soon.
Laters!

Enter Ethan! Ethan and Cerra make me giggle. Kanon is in for either a treat or a migraine.
See you next Monday!

I <3 Cerrasponda.

“Sarasponda, sarasponda, sarasponda ret set set
Sarasponda, sarasponda, sarasponda ret set set
Ah door ray oh, ah door ray boom day oh
Ah door ray boom day ret set set
Ah say pa say oh.
Boom da, boom da, boom da…”

This is the nonsense song that I learned in Girlscouts when I was about 5 or 6. (Along with a ton of other girls :) )
I’ve just always liked it, and then decided to give the name to one of my lead characters in Spades, only with a different spelling.
According to Wikianswers: “Though the song is Dutch in origin, the “words” are just nonsense. They are supposed to be approximations of the sounds a spinning wheel makes when being used.

The song has some superstition tied to it as the mothers used it when their daughters were learning to spin and it was supposed to bring luck allowing the girl to become a good seamstress and marry a good man. ”

This isn’t verified, so I’m still looking around.

The trouble is just starting! See you next Monday! ~DCM
